I want so badly for Lauren Amos Designs to be a successful jewelry business! I've always told people that creating jewelry was my fun hobby, but now I'm ready to turn it into a full on career! I am putting my heart and soul into this business and trying to think of all kinds of ways to increase my audience, by creating a twitter account, offering a giveaway on my facebook fan page and even starting this blog...but it's a hard road. Harder than I expected. But now I'm in it, I've jumped off the deep end and I'm no quitter - so here it goes! Fingers crossed!

New Jewels

This past weekend I went home to Charleston for a quick trip and while I was there I found out that the bead show was in town. I love the bead show and as a self-diagnosed bead-a-holic the bead show is like paradise! I think I love buying beads just as much as I love creating jewelry! And I always enjoy going home and working with the new beads!

At this show there was a new vendor and she had all the jewels that've been searching for! It was amazing! Very high end exquisite jewels! So here are some of the earrings I created...

I can't even express how beautiful these jewels! I handpicked each jewel to create a matching pair for earrings. I think my favorite pair are the large Labradorite teardrop earrings (top right)and I might just shed a few tears whenever they sell.

Clambake Coral

Have y'all heard about Birchbox? If not, then you should sign up asap! It's a minimal monthly fee and each month you receive a box filled with sample sized goodies! The whole purpose is so you can try out new products like nail polish, face lotion, facial scrubs, perfume - all things girly! It's so fun getting a little package in the mail because you never know what you'll be surprised with each month! You can visit their website here and find out more!

Sea Glass Treasury

On Etsy, members can create treasuries where you can feature 16 items available from other Etsy sellers. There's usually a theme to the treasury, whether it be by color, season, holiday or just random favorites and people get pretty creative! The other cool part is that a treasury can get featured on the front page of Etsy! The major plus side is the massive amount of attention those items receive due to the high volume of people that visit the site everyday! 

Over the years several of my items have been featured in various treasuries, which is always very exciting! I've never created one myself until last Monday!

Custom Wedding Jewels

One of my favorite parts about designing jewelry is being able to work with brides to create either custom jewelry for themselves or for their bridesmaids! It's such a fun experience talking with the brides, seeing some of their wedding plans, and listening to their ideas about what would be the the perfect compliment to the wedding day dresses!

Hello! Let me introduce myself...

My name is Lauren and this is my first blog. I wanted to create a place where my family and friends can keep up with my day to day happenings in my new home and to post about the exciting journey of expanding my business, Lauren Amos Designs.


I married my high school sweetheart, Bobby, in 2009. He's my rock and I love him to pieces! He recently got his dream job as a healthcare attorney in Raleigh, NC so we packed up our apartment, grabbed our little schnoodle girl, Addie, and hit the road! My last job was working for the federal government as a financial manager for marine corps project - real exciting, huh? (Yea...not so much.) It was a great experience, but now I'm ready to be my own boss and pursue creating jewelry as my full time career! (fingers crossed!)


I started Lauren Amos Designs when I was in college. I created an Etsy shop and have maintained it ever since. In Charleston, I participated in several craft shows and over the years sweet friends have hosted house parties, but now I'm really trying to get involved in all aspects of social media. I hope to keep you updated on new jewels, my crafting process and all my new adventures. So stay tuned!
